Stir-fried Pork With Pepper And Corn

A great easy quick pork and vegetable recipe for all stir-fry fans!

Ingredients

  • 600 g pork filet
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 425 g baby ears of corn
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 60 ml tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp. mixed spice
  • 2 tsp. corn flour
Steps
  1. Cut the meat and peppers into small pieces. Cut the celery into thin rings. Crush the garlic.
  2. Heat a little bit of oil in a pan. Briefly roast the meat until it starts getting brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Again, heat some oil. Add the vegetables and stir-fry for about 10 minutes on moderate heat. Then add the meat again and stir until everything is hot.
  4. Whilst the veggies are frying, prepare the sauce. Mix tomato sauce, soy sauce, honey, sugar, garlic and mixed spice in a small pot. Dissolve the corn flour in 1 tbsp. water and add to the mixture. Bring to boil, then allow to simmer on low heat for about 2 minutes, frequently stirring.
  5. When meat and vegetables are done, add the sauce and mix well.
  6. Serve with rice.
